I had the pleasure of visiting the new Starbucks in Times Square. The new york city flagship is dedicated to efficiency with an open layout and strategic line systems, and is also loaded with "the latest technology" including giant display screens featuring ubiquitous video loops, and a "social media" where you can tell all your friends your just bought a #trenta.

VACATION: On The Plane

 Not flying on Delta was physically painful for me, and easily one of the hardest parts about the trip. Luckily Juan Carlo, the first-class flight attendant, was kind enough to sneak complimentary cocktails (in real glassware nonetheless) back to us young queens in coach. After our first round-- served in plastic cups by these troll ladies, he magically appeared with these in his hands: "It just tastes better from a glass," he said.

It tastes better when it's free, I thought. 

Later, reading the current issue of Vanity Fair, we spotted a piece on "Catch Me If You Can",  saw these lovely ladies and both asked "who do these legs belong too?!?!".

I'm just hoping Rak is one of 'em..... If not at least gimme a Katie Webber, please.

VACATION: On Our Way

SUCKERPUNCH: RED CARPET RUNDOWN

 

Okay, so it's been a week since Todd, Logan, and I saw "SUCKERPUNCH" directed by Zack Snyder on IMAX at the AMC Lincoln Center. I left the movie completely entranced by the twisting-turning visual aesthetic, the jarring jumps across time & space, and the ferocious femme fatales that take this progressive new style of film making and forcibly shove it down your throat. 

The ladies were shutting it down in real life on the red carpet at the London premiere. 

I wasn't immediately sure I loved the movie, but I knew that it was totally into these GIRLS!!!! They were absolutely killing it in every way from their emotional performances to their looks. They were nailing it. Especially the scenes in the Dance Studio-- just leotards, belted cardigans, and hair for days.... yes.

Folles In Love All Over Again

La Cage aux Folles and it's new stars were featured on this week's episode of NY1 On Stage with Roma Torrey, who gave the show yet another glowing review:

"Seedier than ever!"

Dancing Till the World Ends

LOOKING FABULOUS (IF NOT FAMILIAR)

Queen of Pop, Ms. Britney Spears made a 'surprise' appearance last night at the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

She's looking amaze, of course-- but one thing I did notice was the striking similarity between her stage design and the proscenium arch of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. They're both using forced perspective skyscrapers and metallic web/nets.....
